ONCE A TERM
READING WAKA
Christian Book Club
Reading Waka is a Christian book club run by Cambridge Community Church, where people can join for a book that interests them or take a break when life is busy or the current read isn’t for them. It’s a simple way to read good Christian books alongside others and grow in faith together.
We read a range of thoughtful Christian books that help us better understand Scripture, deepen discipleship, and engage faithfully with life and culture.
We meet once per term in a host home for reviewing and discussing what we’ve read, sharing insights, asking questions, and encouraging one another in following Christ. Light refreshments are provided.

PASTORAL CARE & PRAYER TEAM

ONGOING
PASTORAL CARE & PRAYER TEAM
Cambridge Community Church are committed to providing pastoral care and prayer for all who call Cambridge Community Church their spiritual home. Our Pastoral Care and Prayer Team also support those in our church family as they care for and support others, both within the church and across the wider Cambridge community. The team brings together people with a range of life experiences and vocational backgrounds, ready to offer prayer, encouragement, support and guidance.
We encourage those who are part of Cambridge Community Church to be part of meaningful relationships through our Bible Study Groups, S.A.L.T Youth and Olive & Bean Community Café. These are often where relational care happens most naturally, as deeper friendships are formed.
For those new to Cambridge Community Church or walking through a challenging season of life, the Pastoral Care and Prayer Team are often the first place to turn for prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear.
In some situations, pastoral care and prayer may also be sought from our elders. For example, in keeping with James 5:14–16, those facing significant illness may seek prayer from the elders.
When circumstances call for further support, Cambridge Community Church is committed to helping people access appropriate Christian counselling or other external support services.
GALATIANS 6:2
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
